Nate and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary on the 2nd of June. Some very kind friends with a 1 week old baby offered to watch Eliana while we went out for our favourite meal, breakfast. It has become a tradition for us to spend time on our day deciding on one word to summarise our year of marriage. Our 1st year was "revealing" and our 2nd year was "adventure". For our 3rd year, after discussing many synonyms, we both agreed on "abundant". It has been a year overflowing with blessings from God. Our time in Australia, our time with family, our sweet Eliana, our return to the States and being reunited with friends, God's constant provision, and even our trials, to name but a few. We are so thankful to our generous God who cares for us far beyond what we deserve.
In particular, one of our greatest blessings is the marriage that God has given us. Three years ago, I thought my love for Nate was at full capacity. I am happy to be proven wrong over and over again as each day, the more I get to know him, the greater my love for him grows. He is a man far beyond what I could have ever imagined or hoped for, and I'm thankful again to our God who thought it good to unite us and who continues to hold our bond firm through our Lord Jesus Christ.
